President Hinckley

1910-2008

What an AMAZING man! It is hard to imagine that he passed away. The way he traveled, spoke and even joked, made you feel like he was going to live forever! Although I never personally met him, he will be greatly missed in my life. I look forward to teaching my kids about him! For my friends belonging to other faiths, Gordon B. Hinckley was the President and Prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Such a bitter-sweet moment. Think of how amazing it was for him and his wife to reunite. It's so hard to think that he's gone, he was the prophet when I truly gained a testimony of prophets. He was called when I was 15, through all of those teen years that you're trying to figure yourself out and where you belong. He was an amazing leader and I'm so thankful I got to know him as our prophet for those 10 years.

Hey Lizz! Of course I remember you...you're so funny! It seems the only time I see you is at showers of mutual friends though, which hasn't been forever! I think Danielle's baby shower at Tess's house was the last time I saw you! Anyway, your blog is darling and your kids are so cute.

About Fenway scoreboard message, you can go to the official RedSox website and I think I just called the "contact us" phone number. But you also have to "donate" a minimum of $35 towards some MLB foundation or something. It was such a fun surprise for Spencer! That actually wasn't the message I planned on posting....It was supposed to say "Congratulations Spencer, you're going to be a daddy!" but I didn't get prego in time! Oh well...it was still fun.
I hope you guys can make it out to Boston...it is one of my favorite cities! I hope we run into eachother sometime, but until then, I'm putting your name on my blog list of friends! I love to see what everyone is up to! Take care! - Missy

Oh Lizz, I'm sorry I wasn't clear in the huge long comment I left you... we don't live in Boston; we just vacationed there and had a blast. I guess I kind of made it sound like we lived there...I wish! We live in good ol' Lehi! And no I'm not expecting...YET! But I'll difinitely let the world know through my blog when I finally am! he he he...

Hi, me again! I just reread your comment and you were asking about the "big adventure in the near future"... well, Spencer has just sent in all of his applications to grad school. He wants to get an MBA from a top 20 school which means we are outta here in August! I'm freakin' out cause I'm such a homebody! It will truely be one of the biggest adventures of our lives! YIKES! We'll start to hear back from schools within the next month or two. I'll keep ya posted about that too! Sorry, I feel kind of annoying writing all these long posts!

I would love San Diego! I know it will be a really good thing for us to live out of state. Spencer applied to 8 schools so we could possibly be living in Connecticut, Boston, North Carolina, Virginia, Pittsburg, Chicago, Austin, or LA. I think I would be fine with any of those cities...I just pray he can get in to at least one of those schools! They're all tough ones to get into. I am excited to go, but it will be hard once we have to say goodbye to our comfortable lives here! We'll see!?!?!?!
