Memories!

Memory Lane...I got this from a friend's blog. I thought it would be fun! I hope you will play along. Here are the directions:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses.

WOW, which memory to write down?!? I guess it would just have to be all of the random memories of us just hanging out and burning insense and listening to Tori Amos and being the weird girls we were :) Or better yet, sitting with you in the bathroom for the entire period instead of going to seminary.... what were we thinking back then. But my favorite was when you gave me my christmas present of that angel poster with that sweet letter. I always cherished that, you are so sweet. I love you to death and we need to get together and play again :)

I am laughing at Kami's comment about the evil eye. Sorry Kami!! hahahaha.

Hmmm WHICH memory...okay, one that pops into my head all the time (this is so random) is when we were sitting in the Rodeo at Macaroni Grill one night, I think we were waiting for someone. Anyway, we were listening to one of MY tapes (yes a tape) and it ended and turned over to the other side. As it was turning over, I sang the first few bars of the next song, (This Kiss by faith hill) and then stopped. It was totally silent, and then the song started. Out of the silence you said..."You were totally on pitch, there." It was so random and funny, I don't know why that pops into my head all the time!!
I won't get into the 'other memories' such as spring break and your backwards 'clothing'. Cough, Cough. Or reading Cosmo in your room. HAHAHAHA.

Or the bad bears. OR- so funny- running from the cops in St. George, into the apartment complex and hiding in some random pothead's apartment? Do you remember that? AAAA!!!! What were we thinking? Them getting breakfast and meeting up with Riccor or whatever his name is. Oh, those are good memories Lizz. I also cherish the memories of you sticking needles into everyone we knew, giving them 'piercings.' Now THAT is the job for you. Why aren't you pursuing that? haha. I LOVE YOU!

I remember the fun night we had celebrating your birthday and going to Tepanyaki and then back to Kat's house where we just sat and talked all night! We need to do that again! I miss you!

remember when Scott, your mom and I came out to help move you home? And the truck broke down outside of Vegas? And we waited and watched this poor guy change the tire off the side of the freeway in the near dark (I remember he looked really scared)? Then we stayed in a motel? And the next morning we had more problems with the truck???

My favorite memory would have to be our valentine's movie night with you and Nicole, and I think you had a friend named liz also? I'm not sure. But it was so fun being with you girls for valentine's day while our guys were over seas. I know we watched My Big Fat Greek Wedding but for the life of me I can't tell you what it was about. : ) That was so much fun. I miss you girls.

Napping on the wave runners in the shade underneath the big cliff overhang because we didn't want to take them back to the houseboat and get chewed out for having them out so long. We were really having some good times on those things together.
Or how about singing along in harmony to Indygees on a road trip to St. George or Sheryl Crow on the patio of the condo. Or writing letters to each other (Beth and Spock--what geeks) and spending more time decorating the envelope than writing the letter.

The first time I met you and we both had the same "intersting fact" about ourselves when we were all introducing ourselves. I knew right then and there that we'd be good friends, haha. How are you babe, I miss you.

this is a great idea..
Ok, first thing that comes to mind is during a time I was getting to know you as a future daughter in law and not just another pretty face in my son's life. I had always wanted to hear you play music as Tony used to rave on and on about how he loved listening to your violin playing.
So..there we were in the music store looking for a guitar case for Tony and I spied a a violin on the wall.
You were so gracious when I asked you to play me something.
I will never forget the chills that came over me as you played the Schindler's List theme.
This girl is going to be in my family!!! Amazing.
I love you, girl.

Not one comes to mind. HA! How about the random "ring" e-mail that started it all! Even though we knew eachother before then, like when we all stayed at the Marriot Hotel New Year's Eve and went to First Night. Randy had JUST left on his mission 4 nights before, so you girls were there to make me happy, and you still always do make me happy, Lizz. I LOVE YOU!!!

Lizz I remember when you had foot problems cause you didn't have an arch and you had to wear special shoes!! And swimming at your house I was so embarrassed around OJ cause I had a HUGE crush on him and I knew that I was too skinny to be attractive. :) :) Lol

I can't pick just one memory, so I'll pick one memory vein—our reunions.

I'll never forget being shy in St. George and accidently spilling gas on your jeans.

I'll never forget picking you up from the airport and going for a drive with you in San Diego.

I'll never forget the reunion after I got back from Kuwait.

But my favorite memory is the closet in your grandparents house in St. George where I cried and told you I loved you—and knew that for the first time that I really meant that. I still do!
